How it all began

When I started to prepare the websites about ancient Egypt in 2004 it never occur to me, that so many people would be interested in this period and would enter the websites every day. The first part devoted to Pharaohs was released on 31. January 2005. I'm very pleased because of your interest but it also committed me. For that reason I thought about improving the websites and a crazy idea crossed my mind - try to contact Czech institution of egyptology somehow.

At first I was hesitating whether it made any sense to address such capacities of Czech egyptology as Prof. PhDr. Miroslav Verner, DrSc. (former long-time director of CEgU, recently the concession director for Abusir locality research) or Prof. PhDr. Ladislav Bares, CSc. (current director of CEgU). Finally I accosted both of them and to my suprise Prof. Ladislav Bares agreed with an interview and said, that certain cooperation of CEgU websites and my websites was possible.
